Amidst the financial crisis of 2008, we asked ourselves two questions that would ultimately change the furniture industry forever: How could we bring affordable handmade solid wood furniture to a broader consumer base, and how could we build this furniture using sustainable and eco-friendly methods? These questions were answered in 2011 with the introduction of World Interiors—an Austin, TX based and locally owned furniture company. Today, World Interiors continues to set new standards with trend setting designs with an emphasis on environmental responsibility.

Our Commitment to Sustainability
At World Interiors, our dedication to sustainability drives everything we do. As a founding member of the Sustainable Furnishings Council, we actively contribute to the transformation of the home furnishings industry through education, advocacy, and best practices in reducing carbon, water, and waste impacts.
In partnership with the Mango Foundation and One Tree Planted, we plant 5,000 trees annually, helping to offset the environmental impact of the furniture industry. These efforts are part of our mission to create beautiful, eco-friendly furniture that not only enhances your home but also supports a healthier planet.

We take a different approach by using a special low-VOC catalyzed lacquer finish. This not only reduces hazardous emissions but also ensures that our furniture is among the most durable and environmentally friendly on the market.
