Our Story
Real wood. Real origins.
Handcrafted solid wood furniture, made responsibly and sold from our home in Austin, Texas since 2011.
Where it started
Two questions in 2008
During the 2008 financial crisis, we asked ourselves two questions: how could we bring affordable, handmade solid wood furniture to more people, and how could we build it sustainably?
The answer was World Interiors, founded in 2011 as an Austin-based, locally owned furniture company. Today we still lead with design and environmental responsibility.
We are proud of our furniture, and you will be too.

Sustainability
Our commitment to the planet
As a founding member of the Sustainable Furnishings Council, we work to reduce the carbon, water and waste impact of the home furnishings industry.
With the Mango Foundation and One Tree Planted, we plant 5,000 trees a year, and every dining table sold plants another.
- Responsibly sourced products certified by the SFC
- Recycled and reclaimed materials in every piece
- Fast-growing, replanted hardwoods like mango and acacia
A healthier home
Non-toxic by design
Many manufacturers use high-VOC finishes that release harmful gases in the factory and in your home. We use a low-VOC catalyzed lacquer instead: fewer emissions, and one of the most durable finishes on the market.
